| About: BSNL Latest Recruitment Notification 2022 of 55 Apprentice Vacancies: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Madhya Pradesh Telecom Circle invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for engagement of 55 Apprentices a Graduates (Technical and Non Technical) and Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology field for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 for a period of one year. The last date for submission of applications is 23rd July 2022. History: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is India’s government enterprise and its history can be traced back to the British India. The foundation of telecom network in India was laid by the British eventually during the 19th century. During the British period, the first telegraph line was established between Calcutta and Diamond Harbour in 1850. The British East India Company started using the telegraph in 1851 and till 1854 telegraph lines were laid across the country. In 1854, the telegraph service was opened to the public and the first telegram was transferred from Mumbai to Pune. In 1885, the Indian Telegraph Act was passed by the British Imperial Legislative Council. After the bifurcation of Post and Telegraph department in the 1980s, the creation of Department of Telecom ultimately led to the emergence of the government possessed telegraph and telephone enterprise which led to the foundation of BSNL. After furnishing the telegraph services for 160 times, BSNL shut it down fully on 15 July 2013. It began delivering telegrams to the public in February 1858; this service was upgraded to a web- grounded messaging system in 2010 and had been offered through 182 telegraph services across India. |
